5 TV Shows You Shouldn't Miss

Streaming platforms are packed with endless choices, but despite this, it can be hard to choose your next watch. In today's post, I'm sharing 5 must-watch TV shows currently streaming across Netflix, Prime, and Disney Plus. These series deserve a spot in your next binge session!

Rivals

Rivals is a comedy-drama series that follows the lives of the affluent elite in 1980s England, set in the fictional town of Rutshire. Rupert Campbell-Black goes head-to-head with the media mogul Lord Tony Baddingham in a bid for a lucrative regional TV franchise. It features an impressive cast, including David Tenant and Danny Dyer. Rivals is bold, fun, filled with lots of laugh-out-loud moments and drama. It's racy, very over-the-top and very British - a highly addictive show. Rivals is currently available to watch on Disney Plus.

The Testaments

The Testaments is the sequel to The Handmaid's Tale. Set in the totalitarian state of Gilead, the series follows young teens, Agnes, who was raised in Gilead, and Daisy, a new arrival and convert, as they navigate Aunt Lydia’s preparatory school for future wives. As I've read the book, I was looking forward to seeing the TV adaption, and I was not disappointed. The show captures Gilead's oppressive regime perfectly. It's thought-provoking, highly watchable, and a must-watch for dystopian fans. The Testaments is currently available to watch on Disney Plus.

The Walking Dead

Another must-watch for dystopian fans. The Walking Dead follows sheriff's deputy, Rick Grimes, who wakes from a coma to a post-apocalyptic world overrun by flesh-eating zombies, known as "walkers". Rick becomes the leader of a group of survivors as they fight for their lives against both walkers and fellow humans. With 11 seasons and numerous spin offs, The Walking Dead is a highly popular series with a huge fandom. I really enjoyed its unique plot and couldn't wait to watch another episode, especially with the earlier series'. I also found it interesting as the show explores the gradual collapse of human morality. The Walking Dead is currently available to watch on Prime.

Ozark

Ozark follows Marty Byrde, who relocates his family to the Ozarks in Missouri after a money-laundering scheme for a Mexican drug cartel goes wrong. To stay alive, Marty is forced to launder hundreds of millions of dollars while navigating the dangerous local cartels as well as the FBI. The TV series features great performances, particularly from Jason Bateman and Julia Garner. The show is dark, chilling, suspenseful, action-packed and features a gripping plot and complicated characters. A great watch! Ozark is currently available to watch on Netflix.

His & Hers

His & Hers follows an estranged couple, Anna, a news reporter, and Jack, a police detective. When a woman is murdered in their hometown in Georgia, they are forced back together to solve the mystery, while also wanting to clear their names as they are both painted as suspects. As Anna investigates the story and Jack leads the case, dark secrets from the past are revealed. I really enjoyed this series due to its many twists and engaging plot. For thriller fans, His & Hers is definitely worth watching. His & Hers is currently available to watch on Netflix.
